1. Social-Style Post Card Bar Widget​

• Displays an intuitive thread creation bar inspired by modern social feeds (such as Facebook's News Feed), featuring user avatar and quick-input prompt to encourage thread creation.
• Provides Widget Definition ID: fx_post_card_bar, which can be placed anywhere on your forum (forum_list, thread list, sidebar, or custom positions).
• Full Light and Dark Mode compatibility. Automatically hidden for guests or when no default forum node is configured.

2. Smart Category Selector​

• Embeds a sleek category dropdown right above the editor form (forum_post_thread).
• Allows members to switch to their desired destination node directly while writing without having to navigate back through forum trees.
• Role-based node access control:
  • Regular Members (Group 2): Limited to standard public posting categories.
  • Management & Staff (Group > 2 / Staff): Granted access to administrative and restricted internal nodes.
• Strict server-side verification at both Controller and Service levels (CreatorService), preventing unauthorized thread submissions into non-permitted nodes.

3. Popup Overlay Form Option​

The fx_post_overlay option provides flexible submission behavior:

• Enabled: Launches the thread creation form in a lightweight, responsive popup modal overlay.
• Disabled: Redirects directly to the dedicated full-page thread creation URL of the selected forum node.

4. Header Opposite Navigation Icon​

• The fx_post_nav_opposite setting inserts a quick post action icon (<xf:fa icon="fa-edit" />) directly before .p-nav-opposite (next to user avatar and notifications).
• Seamlessly matches XenForo’s native iconic navigation style and supports native tooltips.

5. Main Navigation Link​

• The fx_post_nav_link option adds a dedicated "Post Thread" item to the main navigation menu (.p-nav-list).
• Automatically syncs across desktop navigation bars and mobile off-canvas sliding menus.

6. Replace Default "Post thread…" Button on Forum List​

• The fx_post_replace_forum_list_button option redirects the default "Post thread…" button in the forum list (forum_overview_wrapper) directly to Quick Post’s configured default node.

7. Hide Thread Creation Buttons in Forum View​

• The fx_post_hide_forum_view option hides thread creation buttons within specific forum views (forum_view), channeling all posting activity through the unified Quick Post flow.

Installation & Upgrade​

Install via AdminCP:​

1. Upload the FX/QuickPost directory to src/addons/FX/QuickPost/.
2. Go to AdminCP > Add-ons, locate [FX] Quick Post and click Install.
3. Go to AdminCP > Options > [FX] Quick Post to select your fx_post_box_default and allowed forum categories.
4. (Optional) Go to AdminCP > Appearance > Widgets, add the Post Card Bar widget to the Forum list: Above nodes position to show the posting bar on your forum index.
