Tribunal & Community Court transforms your forum into a fair, transparent, and engaging dispute resolution platform. Whether you run a gaming hub, a trading marketplace, or a tight-knit community, conflicts between members inevitably occur.
Instead of messy, unstructured drama threads, this add-on brings a structured court system directly into XenForo — featuring dedicated dispute claims, interactive community lie detector/sentiment polls, automated random jury selection, judicial management, and member profile dispute tracking.
---
- Dedicated Claim Creation Form
Integrated wizard allowing plaintiffs to file claims with targeted defendant selection (auto-complete), claim amounts (monetary or virtual goods), rich text descriptions, and multi-file evidence upload (receipts, screenshots, chat logs). - Live Case Header & Response Countdown
Dynamic header at the top of tribunal threads showcasing party roles (Plaintiff & Defendant), claim amount, real-time status badges, and an automated response countdown timer for the Defendant. - Community Audience Voting (Lie Detector)
Engage your community without cluttering the dispute thread! Registered members can vote on whether they believe the Plaintiff or Defendant. A dynamic, animated percentage bar displays community sentiment in real time. - Automated & Impartial Jury System
- Random selection of eligible, active forum members to serve as the Jury Panel.
- Configurable qualification thresholds (minimum post count, recent activity filter).
- Participants (Plaintiff & Defendant) are automatically excluded from jury selection.
- Private Juror Panel Chamber with secure voting options (Favor Plaintiff, Favor Defendant, or Settlement/Split) and optional rationale comments.
- Jurors have the right to decline their role; replacement jurors are assigned automatically.
- Staff Judge & Court Administration Panel
Comprehensive overlay modal for Staff/Judges:- View real-time jury tally recommendations and individual juror arguments.
- Manage active stages (Awaiting Defense, Court Hearing, Jury Deliberation).
- Issue final binding verdicts (Resolved for Plaintiff, Resolved for Defendant, Case Dismissed).
- Automated official verdict reply posted directly in the thread quoting the decision.
- Option to automatically lock the thread and adjust thread prefixes upon resolution.
- Thread Reply Restrictions
Prevent flame wars and peanut gallery interference! When enabled, only case participants (Plaintiff, Defendant, assigned Jurors, and Staff/Judges) are permitted to post replies in dispute threads. - Temporary Defendant Group Assignment
Optionally assign a restrictive secondary user group to the Defendant during active investigation (e.g. restricting marketplace access), automatically revoked once the case is resolved. - Member Profile "Tribunal Cases" Tab
A dedicated, responsive tab on member profile pages:- Summary statistics bar: Total Cases, as Plaintiff, as Defendant, In Progress, and Resolved.
- Bounded scrollable case history cards with dispute links, opponent avatars, claim amounts, outcome badges (Won, Lost, Dismissed), and official verdicts.
- Fully lazy-loaded for zero performance overhead on regular profile views.
- Strict permission filtering: only cases the viewing user has permission to see are displayed.
1. Filing a Claim
The Plaintiff clicks "File a Claim" in your designated Tribunal forum, specifies the Defendant username, describes the dispute, states the claim amount, and provides evidence attachments.
2. Awaiting Defense
A new tribunal thread is created with the Awaiting Defense status and a 24-hour response timer. The Defendant immediately receives an alert notification to present their defense arguments.
3. Deliberation & Audience Sentiment
Spectators vote in the audience poll to indicate who they believe. If enabled, the system automatically draws a random jury of reputable forum members who cast their votes in their private juror chamber.
4. Judicial Resolution
A Judge reviews party arguments, evidence, audience sentiment, and the Jury Panel recommendation, then issues the final verdict through the management modal. The system updates thread prefixes, posts the official resolution quote, locks the thread, and cleans up temporary restrictions.
