XF 2.3 Forum Copilot: Free iOS & Android App for XenForo (Open Source) 1.10.0

[laurent68]

A free native iOS and Android app for your XenForo forum.

Forum Copilot is a native mobile app built for XenForo. Install this add-on and your members can use your forum in the Forum Copilot app on the App Store and Google Play: topics, reactions, polls, attachments, direct messages, alerts and push notifications, in your forum's own colours and logo. The app, the add-on and the hosted push service are all free.

Want your own branded app? The whole app is open source under the MIT license. Fork it on GitHub, point it at your forum and publish it under your own name. Or we can build it for you.

What your members get

• Your forum's own look. Your logo, colours and header, in light and dark mode.
• Fast replies. A reply bar under every topic and conversation. Unfinished replies are kept as drafts, shared with your website's editor.
• Reactions. Tap to like, press and hold for your forum's own reactions, and see who reacted.
• Push notifications for replies, mentions, reactions and direct messages. On Android each kind has its own channel.
• Direct messages with attachments and reactions. New messages arrive while a conversation is open.
• Links to your forum open in the app: topics, posts, members and conversations.
• 11 languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian and Chinese.

Sign-in and sign-up on your own website
Members sign in and sign up on your forum's own pages, opened in the phone's secure browser sheet (Safari or Chrome). Whatever you have set up works exactly as on your website: Google and Facebook, passkeys, two-step verification, your captcha, registration fields and terms. The app never sees a password or a two-step code. New members tap Continue in the app after signing up and are signed in straight away. Members who prefer a password can still use it in the app, with two-step verification and "Trust this device".

For forum owners

• XenForo 2.2 and 2.3. Every release is checked on both by upgrading from the previous version and running the full live API test suite.
• Your permissions, bans and moderation apply in the app as on the website. Posts held for approval are shown as waiting for approval.
• An "Open in app" smart banner for visitors on phones.
• Upgrades go through the Admin CP in a minute. Recent releases make no database changes.

Install in three steps

1. Download the ZIP above and upload it in Admin CP → Add-ons → Install/upgrade from archive.
2. Open Options → ForumCopilot Options once. This sets up the app's endpoint and lists your forum in the app.
3. Install Forum Copilot on your phone, find your forum and sign in.
