Foroverse helps people find the public discussions of independent forums. Every click lands on your forum.

How it works

• Choose which sections to share, and their interests, in your admin panel or on Foroverse. Both stay in step.
• New threads, edits and deletions reach Foroverse within a minute.
• Only what guests can read is ever sent. Private sections and member lists never leave your forum.
• Your community gets the Verified badge.

You control what Foroverse shows
Titles and links always show. Everything else is a switch:

• Thumbnails: a small thumbnail of the first image.
• Author names: the display names of the author and the last replier.
• Excerpts: a preview of the first post, from 250 to 500 words. Previews keep basic formatting such as bold, lists, quotes, code and links.
• Full first post: off at first.
• Directory listing: lists your forum in the Foroverse directory once it has 50 public posts.
• Pause: stops sending new threads. Edits and deletions still go through.

Switching something off removes it from Foroverse at once.

For your members

• Account linking: members link their forum account from a Foroverse page in account settings. Linked members follow your community on Foroverse and see which threads have new replies.
• Sign in with Foroverse: an optional login button.
• Posting from Foroverse: optional replies, new threads and likes, posted under the member's own account. Your permissions, flood limits, approval queue and spam checks still apply. Banned members are refused. Off at first.
• Most helpful chart: an opt-in monthly contributor chart. Both you and the member must switch it on.

Install

1. In your admin panel, open Add-ons, choose "Install/upgrade from archive" and pick the file.
2. Open Setup > Foroverse and click Connect to Foroverse.
3. Log in to Foroverse and confirm. If you already own the community on Foroverse, you are connected at once. Otherwise the Foroverse team reviews your forum first.
4. Choose the sections to share.

Uninstalling disconnects your forum and deletes the add-on's data.
